Welcome

A message from the Head of School

Welcome to Hetton Lyons Primary School and a warm welcome to our website.

At Hetton Lyons Primary School we believe in collaboration with parents, families and community to ensure our children grow into confident, self-motivated and unique individuals.

We are a caring and nurturing school.  We value each child and the precious time they have with us. We strongly believe that our children get one chance at primary school therefore, it is our responsibility to give them the best experiences possible to help them become lifelong learners who have a positive impact on their community.

The success of our school is dependent on the relationships we build with everyone. We pride ourselves on the relationships we have with parents and the wider community. As a school, we have been at the heart of the local community for the past 108 years and hope to be for many years to come.

We have high expectations of our children in terms of behaviour and concern for others. Our code of conduct is based on an agreed set of rights and responsibilities that cover the whole school community. We expect everyone to be Respectful, be Responsible and be Safe.

We look forward to working with you to ensure that, through our partnership, we give your child the first class education they deserve.
