Living Things and their Habitats

Science Walk

After going on a Science walk to Hetton Lakes, we discovered how lucky we are to have a place with such rich and varied habitats on our doorstep.  We focused on an area that we will be revisiting in the Spring and Summer terms to observe changes in living things and their habitats. The children were able to use their Scientific enquiry skills to locate and find a number of living things, such as minibeasts, sycamore trees and evidence of moles and rabbits.
