'The Arts' Week 2022

We have celebrated ‘The Arts’ Week!

Our focus was ‘Our Wonderful World’ and in year 3 we chose a theme based around our amazing learning - Volcanoes. We have painted, drawn, constructed, sang and danced!

We have learned and built on so many different skills we use in art!

We have produced some artwork throughout the week and we started with making a 3D volcano model.

We looked carefully at an Artist that had overcome an adversity. Ours was Esref Armagan. This artist was aTurkish painter who came from a  poor background and taught himself to read, write and paint. He works in total silence creating art despite not being able to see.

We decided to try drawing blind ourselves so we could explore how it feels for the artist.

We got creative and produced a song about Mount Vesuvius. A volcano we have been learning about in class. You can see it uploaded to the class page.
